Longboard Races - Schedule of dates

Weather permitting, (And tentative dates) the Historic Longboard Revival Series kicks off for the 2019 season, on Sunday, January 20, 2018 This gala event recreates the racing atmosphere back in the “good old days” right down to the period clothing and authentic skis. Racing starts at noon. The race is truly something to experience, and promises to be a fun family event held at the ski area at Plumas Eureka State Park located in Johnsville. Food will be available to purchase, or bring your own picnic lunch. Racer and spectator prizes will be awarded. Other race dates include: February 17 and March 17 weather permitting. The event will feature live mountain music.

November 30 - (Date still to be confirmed) Portola Tree Lighting

Join the fun at the Portola Tree Lighting and Parade on Friday, November 30 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. There will be a light parade, best dressed window display contest, match Santa game, scavenger hunt, bake sale, craft fair, photos with Santa and more!

Shining bright, the Annual Quincy Main Street Sparkle & Light Parade is set to kick off the holiday season this year in downtown Quincy on Friday, November 30, 2018 From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m you can celebrate the magic of the season with the Downtown Merchants Open House, a beautiful Sparkle Light Parade, the man himself, Santa and his Elves, music, entertainment, and feature event, the Downtown Tree Lighting!

December 1 - Graeagle Holiday Festival

Celebrating a local tradition, the Graeagle Holiday Festival in downtown Graeagle will happen Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All events are free at this old-fashioned Christmas festival & tree lighting. Come enjoy the spirit of Christmas, visit the little red shops, enjoy refreshments, have your picture taken with Santa and take a ride through town in a decorated horse drawn trolly. Hear the carolers sing and bring lots of good cheer! One of the most charming Christmas events this side of the Sierra.
